I have been too busy with normal day stuff to update.
I'll start with "New Moon." Oh it was great! I completely remember why I fell in love with the character of Edward. The selfless love he has for Bella is amazing.
I did really like the movie and plan on going again, but the first in the series, Twilight is still my favorite for a few reasons. 1 the first is a set is usually the best and most memorable. 2 the director in the first one started it, came up with the beautiful meadow scene and all those great things that made it was it was. And 3 because Edward was in the movie a lot more. haha. Catherine Hardwick was given a very small budget for "Twilight" and I think she did a great job. The director for "New Moon" and Eclipse was given a lot more money to work with but I didn't see anything that made me say "Oh yeah, he was better." Nope I think Catherine did a great job and I want to give her thanks for starting the saga with a bang like she did.
So the theater was full to say the least. I think there were 7 sold out screens at midnight with die hard Twilight fans. It was fun to be a part of it. I was told there were 1300 people there that night. It was great and I look forward to seeing "Eclipse" in June.
Then the weekend was filled with the normal busy stuff. Groceries, work, cleaning...you get the picture.
Sunday was a great day. I love Sundays. One of my best friends, Teresa called and asked me to go along with her to "The Street Of Shops." An old factory that has been turned into a shop with a little bit of everything. Antiques, crafts, flea market and there is even a diner inside. So we broused around, bought some tarts and had a good time catching up. We used to get together every week but it has been months since we could get together. Life gets too busy.
Now I'm back home and the Ham that I put in the over earlier is ready. "Supper time" I call out and they all come running. After eating, the fun begins. "Family Game Time." I love it!First we played "Hoss." A card game that has always been popular in my husbands family has really caught on in the area. All 3 of my kids play, some of our friends families play and we even have tournaments sometimes. After losing at that, I was shocked when Theron said "let's play scrabble." I love scrabble. Nobody will ever play it with me, but tonight, 3 others joined in and we played. Yes, I lost at that too. But I laughed so hard at the words Theron was trying to get on the board. He insisted we look online at the Scrabble dictionary several times. He also lost. Next is was "Buzz Word." Oh the laughs we had there. For this game we had to move into the living room because Theron wanted to watch the Eagles game. His first mistake. He was so distracted there was no way he was going to win. Finally. A game I won with my partner Kelsey!
It was a great day with lots of laughs.
Missing you....

Sue, My friend Brandy and I went over to A Stitch in Time in Millerstown on Saturday! Last time we went scouring for antiques and goodies we went to Street of Shops. I LOVE that place and I think it's better than Stitch in Time. Although, they are very much alike...I found more that I liked at Street Of Shops. Soooo funny that you love Scrabble....SO DO I!! And, not to mention, NO ONE will play it with me here either! LOL
ReplyDeleteWe'll have to get together with our daughters sometime and play. It's nice to hear that you guys make time for "family time." Wish we did that.
Keep on posting, it was great to see a new one!!
